This key mounts on either the right or left side of your FT817 with a solid brass angle bracket. The bracket is mounted  using the existing strap bracket holes and the strap and microphone can still be used with the key installed. The paddle head is the same as the BD5 (below) and can be swiveled on the bracket to suit individual needs.
This is our most popular key and is reccommened for both seasoned CW ops as well as those new to CW.   It is only 2" square yet features 3/4" paddle pads and adjustments for both tension and spacing.   Suction cups and supplied removable reusable putty adhesive assure the key can be mounted on just about any surface.
